New SMS-phishing Campaign Aimed At Stealing Apple Credentials

Intel Security Mobile Research Specialists team recorded two phishing campaign aimed at stealing iOS-device user credentials. During the campaigns, attackers distributed SMS-messages containing links to specially crafted phishing or hacked legitimate site.
The message allegedly sent by the administration of App Store, in which the user informed that his/her account is temporarily locked and to restore the access you must have to enter credentials before a certain date, otherwise, the account will be locked for forever.
The notification also contained a reference, presumably leading to the appropriate page on the Apple site. However, when you click on the link the user is taken to a fake page with a form to enter the real credentials.
Here is the message which the scammers use to trick victims to successfully carry out the scam and steal their credentials.

Owners of iOS-devices in Mexico are also affected, Germany and other countries as well. As noted by the researchers, this is the first campaign of this scale, aimed at users of Apple devices.

Nowadays, smartphones have became an essential part of our lives. It benefits us to reach anyone anytime anywhere. It is a Full-house Entertainment in your hands. In Smartphone world, iPhone is one of the popular choices among the people.

Here’s what the “i” in Apple’s iPhone actually Stands For

The reason why people prefer Apple products is because of their stunning look, extraordinary features, and better hardware. On April 1, 1976, Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Now everyone in the world knows the Apple brand iPhones, iPads, iPods, iTunes, and more of these products have been part of our lives.
Since iMac was released in 1998 the “i” prefix was marked in most of the Apple products. Have you ever imagined what does “i” really means? Why “i” was always present before the word Phone in an iPhone? It’s possibly one of the most well-known devices in the world but nobody is completely sure what the ‘i’ in Apple’s handset name stands for.

Here’s What ‘i’ in the iPhone Stands for:

The “i” at the beginning of almost every Apple devices refers to the “Internet”. Steve Jobs once told during the product launch of iMac that “i” stands for the internet. Back in 1998 which were the early days of Internet and iMac was specially designed to provide faster internet access.
Steve Jobs said “iMac comes from the marriage of the excitement of the Internet with the simplicity of Macintosh,” he said. “We are targeting this for the no. 1 use that consumers tell us they want a computer for, which is to get on the Internet simply and fast. And that is what this product is targeted for”
Steve Jobs also showed a slide regarding the Apple’s prefix “i” and displayed that Apple’s prefix “i” also stood for an individual, instruct, inform and inspire. Steve Jobs also said that the devices are focussed on education too “We are a personal computer company, and although this product is born to network, it also is an excellent stand-alone product”

However, the famous prefix ‘i’ has been removed to refer to devices as Apple’s recent products have been given names like ‘Apple Watch’ and ‘Apple TV’. Maybe, this is because we no longer need to know our devices connect to the Internet.

New Leaked Image Reveals Three New iPhones

Only 6 weeks are left for the official launch of the upcoming smartphone of Apple “iPhone 7” , hence more rumors and leaks of the device continue stealing the headlines all over the world. Again a new series of leaks have been scattered around the Chinese social network site Weibo which showcases all the entire 3 models of the much-anticipated device iPhone 7

New Leaked Image Reveals Three New iPhones

As we have seen, the next iPhone devices have been revealed through some leaks that show the existence of three models for this year, although other sources claim that there are only two. Evan Blass, best known for his @evleaks user account, said the iPhone 7 will be announced by Apple in the week of September 12.
One of the latest information is a video that shows a comparison between the iPhone 7 and its Pro variant. In another leak @evleaks, sent by Twitter, it reinforced the idea that there will be only two new iPhone models that will be released this year. Blass says the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models take names of internal codes “Sonora” and “Dos Palos”, respectively.
Today, again a new photograph was found on the Chinese social network site Weibo, the user page @KK, showing a family of three iPhone devices again. The devices in the image are supposed prototypes developed for companies who manufacture accessories for iPhone, allowing these third-party products are available for the latest releases immediately after being offered for sale.

Other photos published today on Weibo showed the Pro variant with dual camera modules. It is also interesting to note that, unlike previous leaks, these images show that the devices have the Apple logo printed on the back, indicating that they are closer to the final stage in development.
With these new images still in doubt: will the tech giant Apple announce two or three new iPhones this year? The most reliable rumors indicate that they are only two, however we can not forget that they are just like the rumors but should keep in mind that rumors are leaked by @evleaks.
As we don’t know the official announcement, which is scheduled to take place on 12th September, followed by the release to be on September 16. It is also worth remembering that some sources still believe that the iPhone 7 is actually for the year 2017 and in its place, and iPhone 6SE might be released in September.

Reliance Jio to offer unlimited data, voice services for Apple iPhone users..hurry up now

The Reliance Jio preview offer will provide unlimited data, voice, SMS and entertainment services for free on select Apple iPhone units.

Earlier this week Reliance Jio kicked off its Preview Offer to select Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Now the carrier is planning to offer the same to select Apple iPhone users. The offer is likely to be announced next week.
Reliance Jio will extend the offer to users of VoLTE enabled iPhones, which includes the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE. The offer will include unlimited voice calls, SMS, data and entertainment services that includes live TV streaming, video on demand and music on demand, which would be free for three months.
To avail the offer, iPhone users will have to install the My Jio app and generate a bar code to get a Reliance Jio SIM card. This bar code would be required while filling the CAF form.
Apple CEO Tim Cook had met Reliance Jio’s top leadership during his visit to India earlier this year. Reliance Jio is the only carrier in India to offer VoLTE services. Sources tell BGR India that Apple and Samsung won’t be the only handset partners for Reliance Jio. The company has already distributed testing SIM cards to most brands, which are already launching VoLTE smartphones. Most of these brands are also likely get the preview offer in the coming weeks.

Reliance Jio is reportedly planning to finally launch its commercial services in August 15. However, it is possible that there might be some further delay. The carrier already has over 1.5 million subscribers by the virtue of its preview offer, which initially included only its employees and their families. It then extended the same offer to anyone who bought a Reliance Digital LYF smartphone.
Reliance Communications (RCom), owed by younger brother Anil Ambani, piggybacked on Reliance Jio’s network to migrate its CDMA users to 4G. RCom and Reliance Jio have a spectrum sharing agreement.
With the inclusion of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and Apple iPhone, we can only expect Reliance Jio’s subscriber base to grow rapidly even before it launches its services commercially. The masterstroke in the strategy is that it doesn’t require one to buy a new smartphone and most of these users are likely to be high ARPU customers for carriers like Airtel and Vodafone, among others.
